Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, NCC Interim President and General Secretary. offers a Pastoral Letter after the lives of children and teachers were taken by gun violence in Uvalde, Texas. She traveled to the community on June 4, 2022 to provide a ministry of presence as they experience unspeakable tragedy following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School.
