For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us
God of hope and peace, we acknowledge Your peace is beyond our understanding, and yet still ask, “How?” How is peace possible in a world where skin color, land, and possessions separate us? How, where poverty, homelessness, and food deserts are dividing lines, and yet those who have everything and are still lonely and afraid? Today, O God, we accept the challenge to let our hearts venture in Your peace, to see with new eyes, to hear with new ears, and to tear down the walls and step with hope in knowing Your peace is possible even when we don’t understand. Amen.
