Dear Lord, You are the God of hope, peace, joy, and love. During this Advent season, we live in the hopeful expectation of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who came into the world to bring peace. Thank You for the joy and hope that this season brings to so many people around the world. But today we also remember those people from around the world who are experiencing war and violence in many various ways. We pray for the peace of the living Christ to rule in their lives also. We pray that very soon they also will experience the peace that only Jesus can provide. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
