And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Loving God, we live in a world plagued by war, disasters, hate, and unrest. We also live in a world yearning to experience Your peace which surpasses all understanding. As we journey toward the manger with great expectation of what will be born anew, we pray the hearts of powers and principalities, refugees and immigrants, and everyone in between will be open to receive the gift of Christ’s peace this Christmas. May we each hear and embody the angels’ chorus: Peace on Earth and goodwill for all people. In the name of Jesus, the peaceful One, we pray, Amen.
